Request to Borrow Archery Equipment from South Bay Archery Lessons

Borrowing of equipment for tournaments is only allowed for the following types of tournaments as of 2021.  All equipment borrowing and returns MUST be signed off on.

  • In-house tournaments hosted by South Bay Archery Lessons (usually only available in December & January every year).  Usually students are able to pick up their equipment the day before or on the day of (if they show up early enough) to acquire the equipment from the coaches BEFORE the tournament day begins to avoid tournament delays
  • Charity / Local level tournaments, when attended by a majority number of club members (usually only available from October – February every year).  The student is responsible for either taking their equipment the day before the tournament or confirming that if another student is using the same equipment in an earlier timeline that they acquire it from that student after use.  Students that use equipment that another student is using later will be asked to bring the equipment and pass it to the next student for their use.  The last student to use the equipment that day MUST turn it in to either Coach Lani or Coach Paul at the end of the tournament day or return it to the home range the next time they come in.
  • State or higher level tournaments IF the Head Range Coach (Paul) or the Head Competitive Training Coach (Lani) have pre-authorized and/or approved this use after the form is submitted.  These tournaments usually require the student to borrow the equipment longer (2-3 days) and and so the chance of harsher wear and tear on the range equipment is greater and and potential equipment damage is much more likely to occur so.  Therefore, the parent/student must either arrange for the Coach to hold the equipment each day (if the Coach is attending as well) or they may hold it themselves if acknowledge that any severe damages to the equipment may result in financial recovery. If the borrowing student is holding on to it each day, then they MUST turn it in to either Coach Lani or Coach Paul at the end of the last day of the tournament or return it to the home range the next time they come in.
