AAP Competitive: Advanced - Elite

Program Type:  Adult Archery Program (AAP)

Program Level:  Advanced- Elite or Competitive Level Interests 

Program Coaches:

  2. Coach Lani (Secondary)

Minimum Age Requirement:  19 (MUST be this age at time of 1st CIA session; as this age is part of the “Collegiate” age category, the student may choose to join as or change to be a Sunday AAP group member shooting for JOAD pins until the month of their 21st birthday; starting month of their 21st birthday they are REQUIRED to shoot for AAP pins)

Maximum Age Allowance:  none


Classes Are Held: 1st four (4) weekends of every month, unless specifically advised in writing on the primary club website (in the “Monthly Book” section), on Slack in “Announcements” channel and/or advised on the shared group Google Calendar for tournament/event/class schedules.

Date/Time For This Group Specifically:  Sunday @ 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM

  • showing up a 15 minutes earlier then normal class start time is advised to put together or acquire your equipment for a prompt class start
  • showing up 30 minutes earlier then normal class start time on the last class of the month (pin shoot) is HIGHLY advised to ensure the student has equipment put together or acquired and he had done do stretch before starting promptly
  • Out of courtesy for each group’s allotted time on weekends, questions from parents or students should be addressed either before their own group’s class start time or addressed outside of class (email, text, phone, Slack, Zoom, etc) to ensure that the following group has their allowance of required assistance from the Coach as well

PREREQUISITES TO ADVANCE To The Competitive Group & Advanced Rank Level:

  • ALL prerequisites of Intermediate Group Level +
  • Shows good knowledge of "INTERMEDIATE" archery equipment parts, uses and maintenance
  • Demonstrates good understanding and implementation of the more INTERMEDIATE Level "Steps of Shooting
  • Must have achieved a 6th AAP Indoor Achievement Pin in any USAA sanctioned bow style division (score based - 300 point Indoor Adult round) and understand that
  • Willingness to compete more and move away from Social ONLY interests and begin focusing more on higher level competitions or official state level or higher rankings 

 

PREREQUISITES TO ADVANCE To The Elite Rank Level:

  • ALL prerequisites of Intermediate Group Level +
  • Shows good knowledge of "INTERMEDIATE" archery equipment parts, uses and maintenance
  • Demonstrates good understanding and implementation of the more INTERMEDIATE Level "Steps of Shooting
  • Must have achieved a 8th AAP Indoor Achievement Pin in any USAA sanctioned bow style division (score based - 300 point Indoor Adult round) and be interested in working towards Bronze, Silver and Gold pins
  • Student understand that the AAP Bronze, Silver and Gold pins must be earned at USAA Sanctioned National Events when the scores are is signed off on by a tournament judge and given to the coach for entry. 
  • Willingness to continue to compete actively and begin focusing more on higher level competitions or official state level or higher rankings or try for the USAT
